At the invitation of the Kuwaiti press agency KUNA, Antoine Cormery, the director of the Académie attented, on 23rd and 24th March 2016, the ceremony of the Sheikh Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah Award for Journalistic Excellence. Two awarded young kuwaiti will be welcomed by the Académie at France Médias Monde in Paris for a 5 days training session.
Fady Matar from the Académie led a training session on how to design and present a radio programme in the Emirate of Sharjah from February 14th to March 3rd 2016. This session was organised by Sharjah Media Cormporation.
Antoine Cormery and Rajaa Makki were in Duabi on February 23rd and 24th to take part to the Global Women's Forum which was held for the first time in this emirate. As a partner of the event, France Médias Monde was offering through the Académie a radio media training workshop. The participants could, in this way, evaluate their skills in clearly expressing themselves in front of a microphone.
The Académie welcomed on February 14th Ando Rakotovoahangy and Hanitriniony Jhons Marry Ralainarivo, the winners of the Ghislaine Dupont and Claude Verlon grant. They will stay in immersion in RFI for two weeks before attending another two weeks training in Science Po for the journalist winner and the INA for the technician winner.
Fady Matar, project manager and trainer at the Académie, led from January 25th to February 4th, a training session with the objective of enhancing the quality of the vocal bulletin of the French department at the National News Agency broadcasted online. This training session was organised at the request of the French Embassy in Lebanon and benefited to 9 women journalists from the NNA.
As part of the "Analysis: the right to inform and the right to be informed" project in Tunisia, supported by the European Union, RFI ran a seminar on starting up local radio stations. This seminar, held from the 19th to the 22nd of December in partnership with the CAPJC and led by the INRIC, was attended by promoters of twelve new Tunisian private stations and their editorial or programming directors.
