From 16th May to 28th July 2016, Fady Matar hosted 5 voice training sessions in the Al Jazeera training centre in Doha. Journalists from several Arab countries attended these sessions.
Journalists from the Jordanian public radio attended a training session on "radio news editing" in France Médias Monde from July 18th to 22nd 2016. This session was organised within the frame of a broadcast agreement between the Jordan Radio and Television Corporation and FMM.
Robert Parsons from France 24 co-hosted a broadcast management masterclass for senior journalists from media organizations accross Georgia on June 28th-30th in Tbilissi. This masterclass is part of the European Union project OPEN Media Hub, project that focuses on high quality TV and video production and exchange among Neighbourhood and EU broadcast and online media and on strengthening of a professional community of journalist across the Neighbourhood.
With the video director Romain Mogenet, Antoine Cormery led, from 13th to 17th June 2016, a training session on "Presenting the TV news bulletin" at the Radio-Télévision Nationale du Congo (RTNC), the national broadcaster in the Congo. Ten presenters from the national TV, working in French but also in Lingala and Kikongo, took part in workshops on writing, interview techniques and behaviour in front of the camera.
From 16th to 28th May 2016, Sofia Amara led a master class on TV journalism at the University of Balamand in Lebanon. The goal of such a master class is to allow the students to intensively practice field journalism in close contact with a seasoned professional.
Fady Matar led a training session on public speaking at the Sharjah Media Training Centre in the Emirate of Sharjah. The session was held from 8th to 12th May 2016.
Khalil Bechir, senior producer at France 24 Arabic, led a practical exercises day on May 12th 2016 within the frame of a workshop on journalistic coverage of terrorism organised by the Council of Europe in Tunis.
From 18th to 29th April 2016, two managing journalists from Sabco Media in Oman attended an enhancement session in France Médias Monde. The session aimed at accompanying the two journalists in their shift from press to radio. The first week was dedicated to radio management workshops and it was followed by an immersion in Radio France Internationale and Monte Carlo Doualiya
Fady Matar led from 18th to 22nd April 2016 a training session aimed at improving the audio news bulletin of the National News Agency of Lebanon. Ten journalists from the French service attended the session.
From 4th to 8th April 2016, Sophie Marsaudon and Philippe Mingnot led together a training session in Maseru in Lesotho. This session intended for journalists and technicians of the Lesotho National Broadcasting Services was about radio programmes production with a special focus on sound quality.
