The Académie organized training sessions for the executive board of the Andorran public television channel (ATV) from 16 to 20 August 2021 in Andorra la Vella. France 24 Television Channel’s Executive Director Nicolas Clerno spearheaded a training to finalize the right choice of studio for ATV’s news bulletins.
The Académie launched the joint European-Tunisian program that seeks to modernize Tunisian public television network.
Hosted by the Antoine Cormery, the project manager and the director of Académie France Médias Monde, the project’s first meetings took place in Tunis from 21 to 25 June.
With the support and collaboration of the French Institute of the French Embassy in Tunis, the Académie organized a webinar on mobile journalism for 25 Tunisian journalists on the 30th of November 2020.
The webinar was held on the occasion of the Académie’s publication of 25-episode videos on mobile journalism produced by Zohra Ben Miloud of France 24 and Marc Etcheverry of RFI.
Iraqi journalists from multiple media outlets took part in a 4-day webinar hosted by the Académie France Médias Monde from 23 to the 26th of November 2020.
From February 2 to 6, 2020, Fady Matar led a voice training session for the benefit of 8 journalists from the Ministry of Information of Kuwait.
The Académie organized a week-long training for Chad's upcoming national state television. Académie's director Antoine Cormery spearheaded the training on the preparation of the future channel's grid for its programs and news bulletins. As Chad prepares to launch its new television network, Académie has been tasked to do consulting and training work for the channel's staff.
Six Iraqi journalists from various media outlets took part in a two-week intensive training at the Académie France Médias Monde in Paris from November 11 to 22. The journalists who hail from different Iraqi cities were trained on mobile journalism, editing on their smart phones, content verification and walk & talk practices. The training was funded by the French Embassy of Baghdad.
RFI’s former correspondent in Washington Anne Marie Capomaccio trained six French speaking presenters at the Tunisian radio station in October.
The training, aimed to improve the journalists’ presenting skills, took place in Tunis between 7 and 10 October. It was financed by the French Institute at the Arab States Broadcasting Union.
For the second year in a row, the Académie held a training session for journalists in Botswana. France 24’s Sanam Shanyaei headed a training about on set news presentation with a focus on election coverage. The training took place at Botswana TV from 23 September to 4 October 2019.
Members of Tunisia’s upcoming public television network took part in a weeklong meetings with France 24 directors and editors-in-chief earlier in October. The Académie was tasked with assisting in the creation of network’s news channel. The seminar was attended by the future network's director and her team.
