Eve Irvine, senior reporter at France 24, travelled to Juba, the capital of South Sudan, as part of a partnership between the France 24 Academy and CFI. From 5 to 18 December, she supervised a group of eight journalists/presenters, working with them on the concepts of scripting, sequencing, interviewing techniques and reporting. The training began with a theoretical review of the rules of television, which the trainees quickly put into practice as they worked on improving their own programmes.
