As part of the project ‘Decryption: from the right to inform to the right to be informed’ supported by the European Union delegation in Tunisia, from 19 to 22 December, RFI, in partnership with CAPJC and under the auspices of INRIC, hosted a seminar to support the launch of a local radio station for the promoters of 12 new Tunisian private radio stations, accompanied by their news and/or programme managers. Through presentations and group workshops, participants were able to work on the following concepts: - Creating an FM radio station: knowing what you want and for whom? - Radio news: how to make it relevant to citizens? - How to manage and lead the team of a new station? The seminar was led by Pierre-Yves Schneider and Sahadou Zato, trainers and consultants for RFI, Sophie Marsaudon, journalist and project manager at the RFI Académie, Dora Jaffel, European project manager at RFI, and Bernard Chenuaud, project manager and training coordinator for RFI, Abdellatif Cherif, journalist at MCD, Abdelkarim Hizaoui, Director of CAPJC, and Hassan Zargouni from Sigma Conseil. The working sessions were enriched by filmed presentations by Vicky Sommet on broadcasting programming, Fady Matar on music programming and Gueanel Launay on technical management.
