The Académie organised two training sessions from 13 to 24 May, devoted to improving the presentation of interactive programmes to raise awareness of the electoral process in Madagascar: In Tamatave, Pierre-Yves Schneider, an RFI consultant, and Jean Hervé Rakotozanany from Radio Don Bosco took part in two information days that enabled journalists to learn more about the process, its challenges and its key players. The trainees came from ten local Madagascan radio stations in the SAVA, Analanjirofo, Atsinanana and Vakinankaratra regions. In Majunga, Sophie Marsaudon from RFI and Andriatsitohaina Ramarolahy from Radio Nationale Malgache trained the trainees on the following issues: How to avoid any slip-ups on air during the election period? How to produce programmes that are both attractive and educational on political topics that are often considered sensitive?
