The Académie has been working in Kazakhstan as part of a programme funded by the French Embassy to help journalists in Central Asia. Maeva Poulet travelled to Astana on 5 July and then to Almaty on 10 July to run two training courses on fact checking and online investigation. She discussed with the journalists present the issues of infoxes in the age of AI and the verification of photo and video content. Workshops were held to put the theory into practice
